As a minimum, users will require software licenses for the latest version of MS Excel and Palisade's @RISK Decision Suite. Other specialist software licenses may need to be purchased on the advice of TWI.

- Step 1:
- Download and install the free 10-day trial of the Standard version of the DecisionTools suite from Palisade. (The price of this third-party software is approximately £1,200).
- Step 2:
- Download and extract the PipelineCorrosionPoF spreadsheet. (LIFEWISE uses VBA Macros, so allow these to run in MS Excel).
- Step 3:
- Follow the instructions in the spreadsheet and simultaneously depress the keyboard keys Ctrl + r to run the VBA Macros.
- Note 1:
- The PipeCorrosionPoF spreadsheet is integrated with @RISK DecisionSuite within MS Excel. This download trial tool will only work with all three installed, ie. MS Excel, @RISK and the spreadsheet.
- Note 2:
- Please change the security settings to Medium in your MS Excel to allow the Macro to run via the menu: Tools > Macro > Security.
- Note 3:
- The trial version of the DecisionTools is limited to 10 days and the number of simulations. Frustratingly, the software will remind you of this before every simulation! Every time you run the VBA Macro you will be consuming about 15 simulations from your free allocation.
